We are dedicated to furthering the memory of the Aztec Empire. The Aztecs were a very religious people with a state sponsored religion. All Aztec citizens were required to participate in religious ceremonies and festivals. The Aztecs were the only known civilization to have a trickster deity as their supreme deity, Tezcatlipoca. Huitzilopochtli was their tribal god, and led the Aztecs to their promised land, but Tezcatlipoca was their supreme lord and god.
